Rina Panchal became interested in calligraphy when she was just 13 years old. "My parents sent me for a class, and I gradually developed a passion for it, scribbling in my notebooks whenever I got the opportunity or time," she says. Two years ago, during the pandemic, Panchal turned her passion into a full-time enterprise, launching The Lettering String (@theletteringstring) on Instagram, a one-of-a-kind initiative where you can get hand-written notes and letters addressed to your friends and family. Panchal has written over a thousand-plus letters till date, to people across India. "My clients usually send me a photograph and a short personalised message, which they'd like to send to their loved ones." she says.
