What people don't realise is that art actually works on a schedule," says Purnima Sampat, artist and art educator. "An art curriculum is all about creating a scaffolding for learning art." An art teacher for more than 35 years, Sampat offers curriculum consultancy for institutions and organisations looking to incorporate art programs into their courses. She has worked with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to create a curriculum for art-integrated learning. The process involves understanding the demographics of the learners and the focus around which the curriculum needs to
be designed.

RECOMMENDED BY: Dr Pawan Sudhir, Professor & Head of Department, DEAA "Sampat has contributed to the Arts Integrated Learning curriculum, which has been implemented in schools across India and has now become part of the National Education Policy."
