Meet a person with a skill you can use

Nicholas Furtado grew up around pets, raising and training them for two decades. A few years ago, he decided to pour all his experience into a training institute, K9NICK, where he teaches humans how to communicate well with their canine companions, manage resources and time, and trains dogs of all breeds to be calm in their absence. He has a boarding resort in Madh Island which functions as a hostel for pets whose human parents are away. During the pandemic, he began taking in dogs whose families had been affected by Covid-19 and required assistance, and he is also open to housing other types of pets who are presently in need of shelter.

While the other trainers were convinced that my dog Groot needed to be muzzled, Nicholas told me that Groot wasn't aggressive, he was simply scared [and] would never bite anyone. All he needed was behavioural correction and some training for him to be able to trust me."
