Meet a person with a skill you can use
Turning to dance at the age of 28 was one of the most challenging things that Kulkarni thought she was doing. After having joined India's premier Contemporary Dance School called Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts (ACMA) she didn't just have to learn the dance form but also had to work on her flexibility. With contemporary dance, she felt liberated. Kulkarni has been professionally performing, teaching and choreographing for the past five years.
The first thing that she teaches in the class is that there is nothing right or wrong. For her, even walking is dance, and hence the first thing she makes her students do is to walk in class. Through this, they try to understand their body better, movement of the foot from the heel to toe and vice versa.

Recommended by: Preeti Mathur, a student at FLAME University says, "Each class was a unique blend of Kalaripayattu and modern contemporary. Her productions were lighthearted yet reflective. Last year when I was recovering from a ligament tear, I remember the ease with which she modified her choreographies to include me. You must attend her workshop!"
