They are present in 44 districts in 14 states across the country and are scaling up continuously. They distribute food kits which cost R800 and contain rice, wheat flour, lentils, cooking oil, and spices as per availability and allocated budget. Their health kits which cost R200 include masks, medicines and hand sanitisers. They also provide details of shelters, senior citizen centres and legal support for the community in cases of emergency. They work with the support of donations.

Covid relief for slums

ARASTU Sharma and Supriya Bansal, graduate students at the University of Cambridge, started this initiative to assist families living in slums. They aim to create a supply network that will help slum dwellers get medical supplies and nutrition. They have based their programme on NHS's Covid protocol telemedicine system. Volunteer doctors and psychiatrists are assigned to cases to provide proper medical guidance.

MDtok+

JUST like eGlobalDoctors, MDtok is a tele-health consultation service. Started by Virginia-based Dr Abhijeet Nakave, this platform brings together Indian origin-doctors who are presently based in the United States to help patients from India get a second opinion on their cases. What makes the service unique is that it allows one to pick the consultation in their preferred language, thereby ensuring its reach across India. This is a 24-hour system, where the patient has to upload test reports and book a consultation via the website. The entire process is free of cost.
