Walk for a cause
If you want to make your Sunday a productive one, go for a walk. Not just for yourself, but for greater good. Footsteps4Good, a charity fundraising event, will have a 5 km and 10 km walkathon at BKC. The initiative was started in 2011 by Jill Beckingham, wife of the ex-British Deputy High Commissioner Peter Beckingham to encourage citizen participation to empower the society. This initiative allows participants to donate the entire registration fee of R2000 not only to the affiliated NGOs, but also to any other NGO of their choice.

Hear it from the ant woman

Dr Charlotte Sleigh, a reader in history of science at the University of Kent, will talk about ‘Electric monks and pathology biscuits: What is science communication and why does it matter?' Look through the window
ONGOING, 11 AM - 7 PM: Mumbai-based photographer Parhad Goghavala will give you a voyeuristic glimpse into the everyday lives of Mumbaikars through their windows. Using beautiful facades of derelict buildings as a backdrop, Goghavala uses windows as a canvas in this exhibition, titled Arrested Development. The images have been captured in the old neighbourhood of Byculla down to Crawford market towards the South of the city.

6.30 AM onwards: Musicians will pay tribute to Ustad Allarakha to mark his 16th barsi. Fondly known as Abbaji, performances include Taal Pranam at 6.30 am with performances by Ustad Shujat Khan (Sitar). Taal Tapasya, the afternoon session, will start at 11.30 am.
