A Turkish Olympic shooter, Yusef Dikec gained the limelight for his casual style during the Paris Olympics 2024. Where other athletes were seen using optical gadgets, Dikec pulled up in a white t-shirt and spectacles. The shooter with his hand in his pockets clinched a silver medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event

Vinesh Phogat

Ace Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat after coming off a difficult time showcased her prowess in the women's 50kg wrestling event at the Paris Olympics 2024. After sealing the final berth, the wrestler was disqualified from the event for being overweight by 100 grams. She raised an appeal to the Court of Arbitration of Sport to award her a silver medal

Gabriel Medina

Brazil's surfer Gabriel Medina gave the fans one of the most iconic pictures. During the competition, Medina emerged from the wave, pointing a finger in the air to celebrate his score of 9.9

Neeraj Chopra, Arshad Nadeem

India and Pakistan, the countries which share great sporting rivalries witnessed their javelin throw stars sharing a glorious moment. After the competition, Neeraj Chopra noticed that Arshad Nadeem was missing his national flag and that's when the Indian called on the Pakistani athlete to pose with him in the Indian tricolour. Serbia's tennis star Novak Djokovic defeated Spain's Carlos Alcaraz to win his first Olympic gold medal. With this win, Djokovic joined Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams as the only players to win all four Grand Slams and Olympic singles gold
