Ankita Raina was born on January 11, 1993, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She currently resides in Pune.

Ankita Raina is the current Indian No. 1 player in the women's singles category. 

Ankita Raina has won 11 singles and 18 doubles titles on the ITF tour in her career.

Although born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Ankita Raina and her parents moved to Pune, Maharashtra when she was 14. They believed the infrastructure for tennis was more advanced In pic: Ankita with her mother.

On 9 April 2018, Ankita Raina entered into top 200 singles ranking of the world. Raina became only the third Indian tennis player to achieve this feat. 

Ankita Raina posted this picture, where she is being felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In March 2020, Ankita Raina peaked at world number 160 in the doubles rankings. 

Ankita Raina has also won Gold medals in the women's singles and mixed doubles events at the 2016 South Asian Games.

Ankita Raina's tennis idols are Sania Mirza, Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Trivia: Ankita Raina is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Kashmiri languages.
