The Viper Randy Orton, who has had a lot of explaining to do following his shock attack on Edge in January this year, yet again appeared on the finale of Raw

Beth Phoenix, who is Edge's wife, appeared on WWE Raw as she was scheduled to give the WWE Universe an update on her husband's health.

Beth Phoenix reached where no one yet had, getting Randy Orton to explain his actions. Orton went on to explain that he took out Edge to repay his favour. Instead of Edge going through an injury yet again, Randy Orton wanted him to stay away from the ring and hence did what he had to.

Randy Orton appeared as he and Beth Phoenix immediately got into a tussle of words. As Randy began to blame Beth for Edge's current scenario, the Glamazon slammed Orton and kicked him.

Obviously this enraged the Viper as Randy Orton immediately replied with a vicious RKO to Beth Phoenix that left the WWE Raw arena stunned! Why would Orton do that? What is his motive now? Will we see Edge return for payback next week?

WWE Raw opened with the WWE champion Brock Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman addressing the former's WrestleMania 36 opponent Drew McIntyre

Although The Scottish giant did not waste time and immediately entered the ring and took out Brock Lesnar with a Claymore kick

Drew McIntyre stood over the fallen Brock Lesnar at the entrance and held the WWE title in his hands showcasing his dominance. Will this be the scenario at WrestleMania 36?

The Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins and his partner Murphy put their Raw tag team titles on the line against Street Profits

In what could be called a shocker, The Street Profits - Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford defeated Seth Rollins and Murphy to become the new Raw tag-team champions

In what can be labelled an ideal matchup, Aleister Black faced Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in singles matches. Black managed to defeat Anderson and then Gallows via disqualification

The Phenomenal AJ Styles then took advantage of the situation at hand and pinned Aleister Black - just like The Undertaker would do so. Following his loss to Undertaker at Super Showdown, AJ Styles taunt simply means he wants the Phenom. Are we looking at a WrestleMania 36 showdown?

Friends-turned-foes Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott faced each other in a match with former member Sarag Logan as special guest referee.

While Ruby Riott was the ring leader of their group Riott Squad - it seemed Liv Morgan has new-found confidence and this showed in the match. After a confrontation with Logan and Ruby, Morgan took the advantage and pinned her former skipper to win. The three will face each other at Elimination Chamber

Former NXT champion Shayna Baszler was scheduled to face Asuka but after an injury she faced her tag team partner Kairi Sane in a singles match. Shayna showed her dominance on her WWE Raw debut and won the match

Meanwhile, during Baszler's match against Kairi, Raw women's champion Becky Lynch, looking like a female version of King Corbin, appeared and sat at the commentary desk showing that she was not one bit intimidated.

24/7 champion Riddick Moss defended his title in a competition that was answered by Ricochet. Moss managed to pip Ricochet and shock him with a win as Ricochet may be looking at a downward spiral after his loss at WWE Super Showdown to Brock Lesnar

Humberto Carrillo and Rey Mysterio faced Andrade and Angel Garza in a tag team match and finally managed to get redemption against them with a win. Humberto faces Andrade for the US title at Elimination Chamber next
