Playing true to form over the first five days of the competition, India U-31 stormed into the quarter-finals of the World Youth Bridge Championships in the Netherlands on Friday.

India finished second with a whopping 253 Victory Points after 19 matches in the round robin. They await their quarter-final opponents.

In the last match of the day, India beat Singapore to jump back to second position from fourth. China finished first while Israel was third. A total number of 20 nations competed in this age group.
