As India celebrates the festival of Diwali with great fervour and enthusiasm, many sportspersons such as Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Rani Rampal, Suresh Raina and others took to social media to wish their fans a happy and prosperous Diwali.
Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli took to microblogging site Twitter and wrote, "May the festival of lights illuminate your life with joy and happiness. Happy Diwali. ðªÂ(sic)."

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, too, posted his wishes on social media on the occasion of Diwali.
"Let there be light, happiness, peace & joy. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali. Diya lamp," wrote Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Ex-Indian batter Suresh Raina also conveyed his wishes for Diwali.
Indian women's hockey team captain Rani Rampal also wrote a heartwarming post on Twitter.
Sania Mirza, Indian tennis star, also wished her fans on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
