Manika Batra reached the quarter-finals in the mixed and women's doubles events at the World Table Tennis Championships, putting India just one win away from a historic medal.

Batra and Archana Kamath defeated Hungary's Dora Madarasz and Georgina Pota 11-4, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7 in the Round of 16. In mixed doubles, Batra and G Sathiyan beat US-China pair of Kanak Jha and Wang Manyu 15-17, 10-12, 12-10, 11-6, 11-7.
