Tokyo Olympics: Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya bags silver after losing to Russia's Zavur Uguev

Wrestler Ravi Dahiya bagged a silver medal on Thursday after losing 4-7 to Russian Olympic Committee's Zavur Uguev in men's Freestyle 57 kg final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He has now become the second Indian wrestler after Sushil Kumar to win a silver medal in Olympics.

Congratulations galored for Dahiya on Twitter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded Dahiya for his achievement.

Dahiya had earlier stormed into the finals of the men's freestyle 57kg category at the Tokyo Olympics after defeating Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev in the semi-finals. The Indian wrestler had won by fall.

He is the first Indian male wrestler to enter the Olympics final since Sushil Kumar in 2012.
