In latest tell-all book, American golf great Tiger Woods admits he is still guilty over cheating on ex-wife Elin Nordegren
Former World No. 1 American golfer Tiger Woods admitted he is still guilty of cheating on his ex-wife Elin Nordegren with a dozen women. It's been eight years since the couple, who tied the knot in 2004, split after the scandal was brought to light in November 2009.
"Elin and I were so much in love when we married in 2004. But I betrayed her," the golf great revealed in his new book, The 1997 Masters: My Story. "My dishonesty and selfishness caused her intense pain. My regret will last a lifetime," Woods added. However, the 41-year-old Woods claimed he and Nordegren are best friends. "Elin and I are devoted to our kids. We have become best friends as we care for them. It's all about the kids for us," Woods, the dad of Sam (nine) and Charlie (eight), wrote in the book.
Woods also pondered about how his father Earl, who passed away in 2006, would have reacted to his cheating and partying. "He too would have been disappointed in my poor personal decisions," he said.
