Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer’s journey featured in comic book

According to atptour.com, the blue parrot, who is known as Switzerland’s Mickey Mouse, was created by Robert Lips in 1932 as a cartoon strip. Later, it was turned into a picture book. In the series, Globi and Federer go to Wimbledon, play tennis together and visit a school in Africa.

Swiss tennis great Roger Federer's stories will now be available in cartoon form as he partnered with Globi for a series titled, Globi and Roger.

According to atptour.com, the blue parrot, who is known as Switzerland's Mickey Mouse, was created by Robert Lips in 1932 as a cartoon strip. Later, it was turned into a picture book. In the series, Globi and Federer go to Wimbledon, play tennis together and visit a school in Africa.

Announcing his partnership, Federer Instagrammed this picture (above) and wrote to his 8.1 million followers: "Like many people who grew up in Switzerland, I have fond memories of reading Globi comic books. His adventures turned into my adventures. Today, as I look at my old books from 1979 and early 80's, I am honoured and excited to actually be reunited with Globi to be able to share our story together.
