Medium group competitor Swapnil Waikar of Spurti Vyayamshala, Thane, was adjudged as the 35th Anand Sri 2016 at the Thane District amateur bodybuilding contest.

A total of 45 bodybuilders took part in the event. Sri Mavli Mandal won the Team championship.
