A 2015 Kanga League match in progress

It will be a new beginning for 12-time 'A' division champions Dadar Union Sporting Club, who return to the premier division after several years. The famous club will clash with former champions National Cricket Club.

Dadar Union are managed by former Test captain and Mumbai Cricket Association vice-president Dilip Vengsarkar.

Maharashtra's Ranji Trophy left-arm spinner Akshay Darekar, who toured West Indies with the India 'A' team in 2012, will now play for Dadar Union after a stint with Parkophene Cricketers while Ian Dev Singh has left Parsee Gymkhana to join the erstwhile kings of Mumbai cricket.

Beefed up Dadar Union outfit
Former India under-19 pacer Atul Singh, Mumbai u-19 batsman Sushant Khaire and pacer Akib Qureshi, who previously represented New Hind Sporting Club, CCI and Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association respectively, will now play for Dadar Union.

Kukreja to lead Khar Gym
Khar Gymkhana, who have been relegated to the 'C' division, have roped in former Mumbai opening batsman Sahil Kukreja to lead the side. They will face John Bright CC today.

Kukreja, who retired from first-class cricket in 2011, will figure in the Kanga League after five years. Khar will also have Mumbai stalwarts Wasim Jaffer and Amol Muzumdar playing for them.

"There will always be competitiveness irrespective of the division you play in. It will be the first time that I will be playing in a division lower than 'B'. There are challenges to qualify for 'B' division again because in Kanga League you have to play in different conditions every Sunday. It's difficult so let's see. I am hoping for the best," said Muzumdar.
