Despite there being only five runners in the fray, the Dr SC Jain Sprinters' Championship (Gr 2) promises to be an exciting contest.

The presence of Iron Age, a reputed sprinter from the stables of trainer Imtiaz Sait; Hunting Goddess, whose brilliant current form has emboldened her trainer Pesi Shroff to pitch her at the highest level of competition; and the raider from Hyderabad, Corfe Castle trained by Leo D'Silva, who accelerates like a freight train thundering down a hill slope; will add pep to the finish. The first-named gets my vote.
