Four teams off to the Netherlands for World Youth Bridge Championships

Four teams (U-16, U-21, U-26 and U-31) will represent India at the 18th World Youth Bridge Championships that will take place in the city of Veldehoven, the Netherlands from July 31 to August 7.

Each team will have six players and a non-playing captain cum coach. The U-26 and U-31 Indian teams in particular have realistic chances of emerging triumphant.
Overall success at this event will vindicate the efforts of the Bridge Federation of India with the support of Sports Authority of India and the sports ministry, have made since 2016 to structure and develop junior bridge in India. The registration and the inaguration ceremony will take place on July 30.

The teams
U-26: Soham Sarkar, Subhashree Basu, Shubham Acharya, Anirudh Prakash, Kalpana Gurjar, Vidhya Patel, Prakash Paranjape.
U-31: Sagnik Roy, Sayantan Kushari, Souvik Kar, Pritam Das, Wrik Chakraborty, Swarnashish Chatterjee, Shibnath Dey Sarkar.
U-16: Tirtharaj Chowdhury, Nachiketa Muthurswamy, Paavan Goyal, Rashi Sagar Jahagirdar, Adhiyaman Zody Pache, Saikritick Satish Mohan, Parimal Vahalia.
U-21: Tilakraj Chowdhury, Kunj Chheda, Vineet Nandu, Prajjwal, Vigneshwaran, Johann Jose Pinto, Parimal Vahalia.
