Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev's wife Daria Medvedeva, 25, first met the World No. 2 when she was just 12. Reportedly, Medvedeva was dining in a cafe courtside with her team and other players, while Medvedev was playing a match at a junior tournament. The couple got married in 2018.

"Suddenly, we hear someone howling, crying, the sound of a racquet being thrown. My mom asks what's going on. Veronika Kudermetova's dad starts laughing, ‘It's Medvedev playing. You don't know him?' We went to watch him. It was something else," Medvedeva told Tatler magazine.

"Three-and-a-half-hour match. Moonballs, 50-shot rallies...From his childhood Danya used to fight till the end, he was prepared to do anything on court, no matter how ugly his game may look, in order to win. In this sense, he hasn't changed at all," she explained.
