Russian tennis ace Maria Sharapova ended her absence from the court last year in October after serving a dope ban. Sharapova made good use of her time off the court, like feature in cameo roles for the Ocean's trilogy that will be released in June. The flick also features a high-level cast including Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway.
Sharapova wasn't the only tennis player involved. Her American counterpart Serena Williams too made a cameo. However, she is unsure if she will really star in the film. "It's a very small role. I don't even know if I'm in it, but I filmed it. I think in the end you don't know if your part will be actually in the movie," the former world No. 1 told portal, Tennis World yesterday.
"It was a really nice invitation. The director was very nice to work with and I was alongside very talented individuals so it was a different experience. It's very different from what I do and I enjoy being part of those things," she added.
