When Uday Sane lands in Rio soon, he will be the fourth Indian badminton umpire to officiate in the Olympics.

Sudhakar Vemuri, Girish Natu and Apinder Sabarwal are the other three Indians who have officiated in the Olympics before Sane.
Pune-based Sane has officiated in 82 national and international tournaments since his debut on the international circuit in 1997.
