Albany: Tiger Woods declared he was feeling good and ready to go at the Hero World Challenge.

Coming off the Albany Golf course, where he has played often enough and where he has a place, too, Tiger was in a comfortable environment and he relished the round he played alongside top businessmen, Pawan Munjal of Hero MotoCorp, Gary Cohn, Grant Lazarak and Kevin Adams.

On the eve of his comeback event, Woods, shot a 'unofficial' 70 made up of 33-37 at the Albany course. He tested out all his shots and landed two eagles, too. He also had two bogeys.

His chipping, a big area of concern at one time in one of his earlier comebacks, looked fine and his putting was sure.

"I felt good with pretty much everything," Woods said. "I was able to hit all the shots I needed to hit. I'll work on putting this afternoon. So have a little bit of work to do tonight and then I'll be ready tomorrow."

The 40-year-old was also full of humour. When asked how it was to play a 'proper' round in pants rather than shorts, which he has been accustomed to while practicing, Woods quipped, "More than anything it's the packing. I almost forgot."
