Striker Akanksha Kondalkar was in her elements right from the start as St Andrew's Junior College thrashed Bombay Scottish (Powai) 4-0 to storm into the girls U-17 quarter-finals of the Divisional Sports Office-organised and Vision Sports Reconnect and Fairplay Sports Management-sponsored Subroto Mukherjee Cup football tournament (for Suburban schools) at the Francis D'Assisi school ground in Borivli yesterday.

Akanksha struck immediately, even as the Bombay Scottish girls were finding their feet. Her teammate Giselle Curzai then added another a second with a fine deflection off a cross from the right flank. Akanksha then scored twice in quick succession to seal the fate of the encounter.
