Simran had won the U-13 girls title last year. After yesterday's medical break, she showed no signs of weakness and defeated her opponent in the second team match after teammate Aarya Shetty beat Manya Avalini 21-8 in the first match. They booked a spot in the quarter-finals.
"I felt pain for a few minutes but after I received treatment, I was fine and ready to play. I am happy to keep winning," said Simran.
