Sandeep Deorukhkar of ONGC and Kajal Kumari of Indian Oil won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the Bank Of Maharashtra, Indian Oil & LIC of India-sponsored and Dharmarajya Paksha-organised 52nd Maharashtra state inter-district carrom championships at Thane recently
Sandeep Deorukhkar of ONGC and Kajal Kumari of Indian Oil won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the Bank Of Maharashtra, Indian Oil & LIC of India-sponsored and Dharmarajya Paksha-organised 52nd Maharashtra state inter-district carrom championships at Thane recently.
In the men's final, fourth seed Deorukhkar beat sixth seed Yogesh Pardesi of Indian Oil 25-0, 25-23, while among women, Kajal beat LIC's Anjali Siripuram 25-5, 25-12.
Sandeep received a cash award of Rs 1 lakh, while Yogesh was richer by Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, Kajal got a prize cheque of Rs 30,000, while Anjali was awarded Rs 20,000. Later, Prashant More beat Mohd Sajid to third place among men, while Ayesha Mohd beat Sneha More to win third spot in the women's category.
