Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal eased into the third round of the World Badminton Championships after thrashing Russian Anastasia Prokopenko on Wednesday.
Saina Nehwal, who got a bye in the first round, defeated Prokopenko 21-10, 21-17 in straight sets.
Playing at a fully packed Gachibowli Stadium, the 19-year-old shuttler defeated Prokopenko comprehensively to reach the third round.
The Hyderabadiu00a0started off well in the first game and gave no chance whatsoever to her opponent as she clinched the game 21-10 with complete ease.
However, 23-year-old Prokopenko, came back hard to give Saina a tough fight but that wasn't enough to beat the inevitable as Saina sealed the game and the match in her favour 21-17.
