On Friday evening, Sindhu had produced an emphatic performance to stun recently-crowned All England champion Shixian Wang and breeze into the last four.
Seventh seed Sindhu played a dominating game to assert her supremacy over the two-time All England Champion with a 21-17, 21-15 win in 45-minutes. It was Sindhu's third win over Shixian in as many matches.
Last year she had humbled the Chinese in the quarter-finals of the World Championship. Meanwhile, Olympic bronze medallist Saina was ousted in the quarter-finals here by world number three Yihan Wang.
