Former baseball star Rodriguez and Hollywood actress girlfriend Lopez make red carpet debut as a couple on a night where world of fashion and sport collide in New York

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez made her first public appearance with beau Alex Rodriguez as they stepped out together for the 2017 Met Gala in New York.

Lopez, 47, who was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, donned a sky blue Valentino gown with a cape, while Rodriguez, 41, opted for a Tom Ford tuxedo, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The couple was all smiles as they posed for shutterbugs before making their way inside the star-studded event.

The two even took to Instagram to share photos from the backseat of their car en route to the event.

"We're ready for the #MetGala2017," Rodriguez captioned a picture of them.In another photo he wrote, "Admiring Jennifer doing her thing on the carpet at the #MetGala2017."
