North Zone retained the JK Bose Trophy, the symbol of supremacy of cricket for journalists at Uppal Stadium near Hyderabad on Saturday.

North beat South in the final league match. In the other game, West defeated East to win its second game to force a three-way tie. North was declared winner by virtue of better net run rate. North's Amit Chaudhary hit 91.

SJAM 'A' spot on
Sports Journalists' Association of Mumbai 'A' retained their Star Sports Penalty Kicks title by overcoming giant-killers Orissa Sports Journalists Association in a tense sudden-death. SJAM 'A' included Sudheendra Tripathi, Ashwin Ferro and Irfan Haji.

In the individual table tennis final, SWAB's R Kaushik beat Amol Karhadkar of SJAM 11-5, 11-6, 6-11, 9-11, 11-7. In the team final, the pair of Karhadkar and Ashwin Ferro rallied to down Kaushik and R Satya 2-1.
