Andy Murray has withdrawn from next week's Shanghai Masters 1000.
The World No 3 has not sufficiently recovered from an injury to his left wrist which forced him to miss this week's Rakuten Japan Open in Tokyo.
A statement on Murray's official website, www.andymurray.com, read: "Due to medical advice Andy will not be travelling to China. He has decided to give his wrist extra time to recover and is likely to return for the Valencia Open."
The Valencia Open gets under way on November 2, giving Murray almost another month to fully recover from the injury.
