The buzz in city cricket is all about the Mumbai Premier League, but the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) secretary Lalchand Rajput feels it is too early to talk about the proposed local Twenty20 league.
"The event management companies have only given their presentation to the MCA office bearers. No decision has been taken. We have to look at availability of all the players, the financial factor and when we can get the crowds," Lalchand Rajput told MiD DAY.
The five event management firms to make a presentation to MCA are: League Sports Management Pvt Ltd, Sporting Frontiers, Out of Box Entertainment & Sports, E-sense and Sports Consult.
"We have received different proposals with some saying, they will take care of everything while some have proposed to do it on a profit-sharing basis.
A committee has been formed which includes all the MCA office bearers plus three managing committee members. We are now busy preparing to host the India vs Sri Lanka Test," said Rajput.
