Seasoned and experienced striker Melwyn Vaz was in solid striking form as he fired in five goals to steer Star of Canara SC to an emphatic 13-0 win against Jai Hind SC in a first round match of the 9th Late Adv AR Kudroli Memorial Foootball Tournament, organised by Karnatak Sporting Association.
Vaz's teammates, Sheldon Rego struck four goals, Glen Moraes netted two while Karan Amin and Ashton Dias scored one each.
