Yugpurush Aryan opened the scoring for the Mahim team in the seventh minute via a solo effort. In the 20th minute, Jay Bhavnani extended the lead via Parth's assist. Parth then extended the lead for Scottish off a tap in the 25th minute.

Scottish continued to dominate proceedings in the second half. Parth scored the fourth goal in the 48th minute while Aryan Singh scored the fifth, seven minutes later.

The loss meant that the Juhu school is out of contention for a cross semi-final, having lost three, won one and drawn one match. Meanwhile, with three wins from three matches the Mahim outfit is certain to enter the semi-final with two matches still to be played.

Skipper dejected
A dejected Jamnabai captain Paurav said, "This year we don't have a majority of our key players like Aryaman Gala, Rachit Gupta, Aryan Thadani and Ishan Rajgharia in the team. Last year, our squad comprised players from both the IGCSE and the ICSE boards."

Meanwhile, Scottish scorer Parth was elated with his team's win. "We didn't take Jamnabai lightly as they finished second last season. We expected to win, but not with such a huge margin. Though they didn't win, their defenders played really well.

"I hope we continue to perform the way we did today."

Colaco scores four
Meanwhile in another tie, Denzel Colaco scored four goals to help St Mary's ICSE (Mazagaon) register a 4-0 win over St Lawrence (Borivli) yesterday. The 15-year-old netted goals in the 18th, 26th, 41st and 47th minute.
