Mumbai Customs did well to recover from a first half deficit and share the spoils with Air India in a 1-1 draw in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League at the Cooperage yesterday


Mumbai Customs did well to recover from a first half deficit and share the spoils with Air India in a 1-1 draw in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League at the Cooperage yesterday.

Right winger Jonychandra Singh put defending champions Air India in front beating rival goalkeeper Lihaz Koya in the 42nd minute.

Customs restored parity when the hardworking Deepak Irmali struck the equaliser in the 68th minute. Customs played the last 15 minutes with 10 players after Nafeez C was booked a second time for a reckless tackle.
