US model and actress Kate Upton will be featured in the cover for the Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit edition for the third time, despite rumours that her bad behaviour on the set had caused rift between the editor and her.
The 24-year-old, who is engaged to American baseball pitcher Justin Verlander, was announced as the cover girl of the magazine's annual Swimsuit edition on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night and her picture was later projected onto the Empire State Building in New York City, reported femalefirst.co.uk.
Since this is the third time she will feature on the magazine's cover, Sports Illustrated has decided to publish three different versions of the magazine, each with a different photograph of the stunner.
Yesterday, she posted the cover pictures on Instagram and wrote: "Wow, I feel so honoured and excited to be back with Sports Illustrated!! Thank you @si_swimsuit and @mj_day for inviting me to be part of an issue that features and celebrates beauty and confidence in every shape and size #siswim17 #grateful."
Kate first appeared in the magazine in 2011, and she subsequently landed back-to-back covers in 2012 and 2013.
