John Daly chips in with help

Colourful American golfer John Daly has offered some relationship advice to Tiger Woods, saying Woods and wife Elin Nordegren should remain together if they were still in love.

The four times divorced Daly said he had tried unsuccessfully to contact Woods, who announced on Saturday he was taking an indefinite break from the sport. "I feel like if there's anybody in this world, after what I've gone through, the ups and downs, I might give him some advice," Daly said after his third round at the Australian PGA here on Saturday.

"I'm in shock over it all, I think a lot of our players are in shock. I've tried to get hold of Tiger and his manager but he just didn't want to talk to anybody." Daly admitted Woods had "screwed up" but said he remained hopeful of a happy ending.
