Andy Murray admitted on Saturday that a right ankle injury he suffered in his French Open third round win over Michael Berrer could force him out of the tournament.

World No 4 Murray, who is scheduled to face Serbia'a Victor Troicki in Monday's last 16, collapsed to the ground in agony after going over on his ankle in the fourth game of his match against the German.

He needed an extensive medical time out to have the injury strapped.

A scan later Saturday or on Sunday, which will judge if ankle ligament damage has been caused, will be crucial in his decision over whether or not to pull out.

"We will have to wait and see what happens. I just don't know if I will be able to play my next match. I don't know if I will be 100 percent fit," said Murray after his straight sets win over Berrer.
