Kuantan (Malaysia): The Indian Junior men's hockey team beat arch-rivals Pakistan by 6-2 in the final to win the 8th Junior Men's Asia Cup title at the Wisma Belia Hockey Stadium yesterday.

India went up in the first half thanks to twin strikes by Harmanpreet Singh, who made two successful penalty corner conversions. Pakistan though, pulled one back in the through Yaqoob Muhammad. Harmanpreet then converted another penalty corner to make it 3-1 for India and took his individual goal tally in the tournament to 14 as both teams headed into the break.
The second half saw India continue its domination Armaan Qureshi scoring in the 44th minute for 4-1. Manpreet Jr scored India's fifth gola followed by Harmanpreet getting onto the scoresheet again for India's sixth goal. Pakistan got a consolation goal two minutes from the end through Dilber Muhammad.
