Defending champions Air India clinched a narrow 3-2 win over Central Railway in a Pool 'A' clash of the 12th PMC Bank-Guru Tegh Bahadur All India Gold Cup Hockey Championship at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate yesterday


Defending champions Air India clinched a narrow 3-2 win over Central Railway in a Pool 'A' clash of the 12th PMC Bank-Guru Tegh Bahadur All India Gold Cup Hockey Championship at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate yesterday.

Shivendra Singh, Janma Majhi and Sameer Dad scored for the airmen, while Affan Yusuf and Harmeet Singh found the target for the railmen. Central Railway goalkeeper Avadhut Solankar was adjudged the man-of-the-match.

In another tie, Comptroller Auditor General (CAG), Delhi beat Hockey Bhopal 4-0.
