Mahesh Mangaonkar proved too strong for his opponents as he went on to grab a grand double in the Rs 2,69,000 prize money All-India Little Masters Junior Squash Tournament, organized and hosted by Willingdon Sports Club, Mahalaxmi on Sunday


Mahesh Mangaonkar proved too strong for his opponents as he went on to grab a grand double in the Rs 2,69,000 prize money All-India Little Masters Junior Squash Tournament, organized and hosted by Willingdon Sports Club, Mahalaxmi on Sunday.

The 16-year-old top seed Mumbai lad brooked little opposition from second seed Abhimanya Shah in the boy's U-17 final as he cruised to a 11-1, 11-3, 11-5 victory.

Aishwarya Bhattacharya also bagged two titles winning the girl's U-13 and U-15 titles but lost in the final of the U-17 event. In the U-13 final, she beat Jui Kalgutkar 11-6, 11-2, 11-7 and in the U-15 final she got the better of Aishwarya Nambiar 12-10, 11-4, 11-6. In the U-19 event however she retired against Saumya Karki (5-11, 1-11).
