IF recent reports are to be believed, Irish professional golfer Rory McIlroy's wedding to Erica Stoll at Ashford Castle was on April 21 and not the reported date of April 22.
The couple managed to keep details of their wedding date secret, until portal RTE recently reported that the marriage certificate stated McIlroy and Stoll wed one day before putting Ashford Castle on lockdown to celebrate it.
The couple met in 2012, when Stoll helped the four-time major champion reach the course on time during the Ryder Cup in the United States.
McIlroy popped the question to Stoll near the romantic Eiffel Tower three years later.
