The Dr S C Jain Sprinters' Championship, regarded as a traditional pointer to the Sprinters' Cup (Gr 1) to be run on this track over the Invitation Cup Weekend, is slated as the feature event of Sunday's trophy-studded eight-race card. The six-furlong sprint will most likely see a re-run of the WIRHOA Trophy run here last month when the Todywalla-trained Dancing Prances & Pesi Shroff-trained Bullseye were concerned in a close finish at the judge's end.
Though Shroff has an additional challenger in Solomon this time, I feel it will be Dancing Prances who will yet again emerge victorious over this sprint.
Goldilocks (Hello Classic!) & Alaindair (Eclipse Stakes) are expected to win their respective races, and shape as dependable bets of the afternoon. First race at 2.30 pm.
