National Award winning Singer, Sukhwinder Singh honored and felicitated the players of the Indian Women's Hockey team for their victory at the Asia Cup 2017. He presented a token of his appreciation to each of the 18 players.
Being a huge sports enthusiast and a sportsman himself, he said, "Their achievement at the Asia cup is really commendable. I have a lot of respect for sports and this is just a small token of my love for these girls who have made us all so proud. Their win must be celebrated by one and all."
"It is a really kind gesture by Sukhi ji to have called us out here and showered so much love and respect for us. It is very heartwarming and overwhelming to receive so much love and support from everybody not just towards us, but also the sport at large. This is such a motivation to perform better and take Indian Women's Hockey to higher heights," said captain Rani Rampal.
