Rafael Nadal says he has no doubts over a knee injury during his opening- round win at the Australian Open on Monday. The World No.1 clinically took apart Victor Estrella Burgos of the Dominican Republic 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 on Rod Laver Arena. The Spaniard will play Leonardo Mayer of Argentina in the second round.

Dimitrov advances
Bulgaria's World No.3 Grigor Dimitrov got his Australian Open campaign off to an impressive start, proving too clinical for Austrian qualifier Dennis Novak, winning 6-3, 6-2, 6-1. Meanwhile, Britain's Kyle Edmund eliminated US Open finalist Kevin Anderson in his biggest win at a Grand Slam.

Edmund, the only British man in the main draw after Andy Murray's injury withdrawal, toughed out a 6-7 (4/7), 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win. Isner bows out John Isner of United States was toppled by Australian Matthew Ebden 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in just over two hours on Margaret Court Arena.
