Anand beats Liren in Paris

World champion Viswanathan Anand showed his class when he beat Chinese champion Ding Liren in the Alekhine memorial chess tournament here at the Louvre.

Anand jumped to sixth spot in the tournament courtesy his win yesterday.u00a0Liren had earlier shocked World No 3 Levon Aronian of Armenia in the tournament.u00a0Meanwhile, Boris Gelfand of Israel drew with Aronian.
