The motorcycle racing sport, involving off-road motorcycles on an artificially-made dirt tracks race, was conducted in various categories such as the Foreign Open Group and the Indian Expert Class.

Pramod Joshua, who won the Indian expert category (Group C) race, said: "I'm going back home with 40 points to the championship, leading the championship. So definitely looking forward for the next round in Jaipur."

Other riders said that the Coimbatore track was a tough one.

"The track was little tough. And the motor cycle, I think, was worn out a bit and I had a lot of rocks coming up," said C. S. Santosh.

The other winners of the Indian expert championship (Group C) were Vishal Barguje and K. C. Girshin.

The MRF National Supercross championship has six rounds, with the first held in Bangalore and the second in Coimbatore.
