Zinedine Zidane is widely regarded in the world of football as one of the greatest midfielders of all time. Zidane's career began with Ligue 1 team Cannes. He subsequently moved to Bordeaux where he established himself as one of the best players in the league
Zidane's impressive performances lead to a transfer to Serie A giants Juventus. He played there for 5 seasons, scoring 26 goals and winning 6 titles in the process
Zidane was then bought by Real Madrid for whom he played over 200 games and scored 49 goals. He won another 6 titles in Spain before ending his playing career
The footballing legend made his debut for the France national team in 1994. He played a starring role in their 1998 FIFA World Cup victory as well as their UEFA Euro 2000 triumph
Zizou was known for his elegance which was combined with his excellent technique, vision, passing, and ball-control. His usual role was that of a playmaker
Zidane's outstanding performances saw him win the prestigious Ballon d'or award in 1998
Zizou's relationship with football wasn't over after he retired. He soon took up coaching and became the Real Madrid coach in 2016. He won three back-to-back UCL titles as the coach of Los Blancos
He is married to Veronique Fernandez, the couple have 4 children together
