We want more: Frank Lampard after Chelsea's win

Frank Lampard was relieved to get Chelsea back to winning ways as Mason Mount's late strike broke the resistance of 10-man Fulham to earn a 1-0 victory in the West London derby on Saturday.

The Blues were languishing down in 10th at kick-off after a run of one win in six league games left Lampard fighting for his job. But the former England midfielder was handed a gift by Antonee Robinson's reckless challenge just before half-time that earned the American a straight red card.

Chelsea climb to 7th spot
Chelsea still struggled to make the extra man advantage count, but Mount's precise low finish 13 minutes from time moved the visitors up to seventh and within three points of the top four. "We can't think everything is solved because we want more," said Lampard.

"I keep saying we're in a bit of a transition and progression. We know there are new players and we're still trying to find solutions but we need to get points because it's Chelsea." A first defeat in six games rounded off a disappointing day for Fulham after victories earlier on Saturday for relegation rivals Brighton and West Brom. Scott Parker's men remain third from bottom and are now four points from safety.

Mount has maintained Lampard's faith despite a club record fee being splashed out to bring in Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and the English international was inches away from rewarding his manager with a thunderous shot that came back off the crossbar midway through the first-half.

Leicester win 2-0
Meanwhile, Leicester moved up to second thanks to a 2-0 win over Southampton. One moment of magic from James Maddison made the difference against Southampton as he smashed high into the roof of the net from a narrow angle on 37 minutes. The midfielder also remembered to adhere to new Premier League guidelines on goal celebrations as he mimicked handshakes and high-fives at a distance. Harvey Barnes then sealed the points for Leicester deep into stoppage time on the counter-attack.

Spurs back into title race
On Sunday, Tottenham climbed back into the Premier League title race as Tanguy Ndombele's stunning strike sealed a 3-1 win against Sheffield United.

Jose Mourinho's side took an early lead through a rare goal from Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier. Harry Kane's 19th goal of the season increased Tottenham's advantage before half-time. David McGoldrick got one back for United in the second half, but Ndombele's sublime lob wrapped up the points at Bramall Lane.
