Nalanda Public School (Mulund) pulled off a close 1-0 win over Sacred Heart Boys School (Santacruz) in a MSSA boys U-16 Div-IV match at the St Francis D'Assisi High School ground, Borivli, on Tuesday.
Striker Kapish Rathod showed good ball control as he latched on to teammate Aaryan Rajput's through pass and shooting past Sacred Heart goalkeeper Shaunak Khankar to give his team a crucial lead in the 10th-minute. The goal turned out to be the match-winner.
Meanwhile, in another well-contested match, Ryan International School (Chembur), powered by striker Sharan Poojari's goal in the final moments of the match, went on to defeat Billabong International School (Andheri) by a solitary goal.

Also, Yashodham School (Goregaon) easily beat Fazlani Global School (Mazagoan) 3-0. Striker Parth Pomendkar scored the first goal in the 10th minute after which teammate Naman Salian got the second in the 19th minute and Daksh Waghmare fired home the third goal in the 28th minute.
Later, DY Patil (Worli), inspired by Dev Mehta's twin strikes blanked St Mary's High School (Dahisar) 3-0. After Kshtij Udesh gave the Worli side the lead in the 17th minute, Dev scored the next two goals in quick succession in the 19th and 23rd minutes to complete the tally.
